LEC Specifications:

  • Open design allows support for any manufacturers readers, cards, device types.
  • Full graphical interface to the LSL Enterprise Server ( LES ).
  • Allows multiple concurrent users to access core database to update Users, Paired Tags, Authorized Entry, Portal configurations.
  • Provides graphical interface to automatically track the “alarmed” items in real time on screen through the Floorplan Tracking module.
  • Utilizes strong encryption on all network traffic
  • Provides multi-level security so different users can control different areas/portals.  This allows for easy direct Tenant control over access to their space within a larger building control system.
  • Provides display of system access logs.
  • Provides configuration of user access times for granular control of users access to various areas. Each portal can be individually configured.
  • Provides simple configuration of tag pairing for managing paired tags within the LSL ACS system
  • Can track a user across maps in Floorplan Tracking module in realtime for use in many security situations
  • Can find and highlight a user on any map based on last access.
  • Provides graphical interface to the Floorplan Tracking module in the LES.
  • Provides graphical interface to the Remote Entry module in the LES.
  • Runs natively and supported on Linux, Windows 2003, XP, 2000, NT4, and Mac OS X.
  • Provides configuration of billing/tracking for prepaid parking debits on a per user account basis.
  • Supports unlimited number of users, tags/badges, and portals, for tracking or control applications.
  • Utilizes all 64bit DB links for virtually unlimited number of entries

LES Specifications:

  • Available as a Virtual Machine or installable software pack.
  • Open design allows support for any manufacturers readers, cards, device types.
  • Support unlimited number of LPN’s for configuration, data storage, logging, user updates, and software enhancements.
  • Utilizes strong encryption on all network traffic
  • Paired Tags – Allows for the “pairing” of tags representing users or assets. For example this allows the system to track a laptop “paired” to one or more “users” that are authorized to move that asset. If a paired object goes through a portal/door alone, the system will automatically initiate the appropriate designated “Alarm” response. It can also track the “alarmed” item in real time on screen through the Floorplan Tracking module. This feature is supported on all reader/hardware types.
  • Supports unlimited number of users, tags/badges, and portals, for tracking or control applications.
  • Utilizes all 64bit DB links for virtually unlimited number of entries
  • Runs natively and is supported on Linux, Windows 2003, XP, 2000, NT4, and Mac OS X.
  • Compatible with a range of enterprise class databases for data and configuration storage. Oracle, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, LSL DB Server, Valentina DB Server v3
  • Not resource intensive.
  • Provides real-time output from LPN’s on screen.
  • Provides multi-level security so different users can control different areas/portals.  This allows for easy direct Tenant control over access to their space within a larger building control system.
  • Supports per user, per portal time based authentication.  Allows for valid entry times on a per user basis.  IE Administrators with 24/7 access, and general employees with Monday through Friday 8am-5pm access.

LPN Hardware Specifications v3:

  • Pentium III or better class processing power.
  • 1GB DDR RAM
  • 2GB-32GB Flash Drive
  • Open COTS design allows support for any manufacturers readers, cards, device types. Simply changing the PC104 cards allows support for any communication or control protocol or interface.
  • Local control for each portal.  Does not rely on network for decision making or control of portals.  Highly redundant, fast and reliable control design.
  • Industrial class LPN-SEC extensible through PC104/PC104 Plus.
  • Standard class LPN-SEC extensible through PCI or PCIe.
  • Hardware watchdog timer
  • Keep alive notification to LSL Enterprise Server with Alarms.
  • Local SQL database for hardware config per channel, data type per channel, tag lookups, and local decision making and control.
  • Digital IO with relay and Opto22 capabilities, 12V 2A max std.
  • RS-232/RS-485/RS-422 on board.
  • High level API to communicate with LPN-SEC and program “Tag Actions”
  • Analog to Digital, Digital to Analog boards available.
  • Distributed design allows for a single LPN-SEC to serve an entire building or floor of swipe card readers.
  • Supports POE or local 12v power supply ( Control models require local power ).
  • Physical size similar to a wireless access point unit.  Depending on option boards may be slightly thicker.
  • TFT display capability, with touch screen for code entry applications.

LPN-SEC Software Specifications Version 3.0:

  • Firmware support for Paired tagging control algorithms
  • Open design allows support for any manufacturers readers, cards, device types.
  • LPN-SEC appliance capable of interfacing with RFID, MagCard swipe, ProxCard devices reader.
  • Track Location/Campus, Building, Room, Door, and User for each access attempt.
  • Highly resilient distributed design allows LPN to function even with LES down or network non-functional.  Buffers data and allows use of LPN’s to open doors and track access without central LES server being available.  When LES comes back online LPN uploads all processed buffered data.
  • Enterprise Console provides a graphical user interface to all aspects of the system setup.  Includes editors for Location/Campus, Building, Room,  and User tables.  Setup and programming of the LPN-SEC hardware units.  SSH secure connection to the LPN-SEC hardware units.
  • LSL Enterprise database design specifically to support high performance, secure, multiple hardware devices, from multiple manufacturers, covering many different data types.  IE Swipe cards,  RFID tags, ProxCard, temperature, linear distance, quadrature, force, torque, etc.
  • Configurable through local web interface on LPN-SEC
  • Configurable through LSL Enterprise Server/Console.
  • Utilizes strong encryption on all network links/communications
  • Custom Linux OS distribution for LPN-SEC.
